Joshua leads the Beaumont brigade
Anton Shepherd of Beaumont Stud has filed notes on their consignment of yearlings, a broodmare and a weanling, to the 2023 Cape Racing Mixed Winter Sale at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Friday, 16 June:
“He is a beautiful, big and high-quality colt by Pathfork. He is well grown and moves well, I like him a lot!”
“On the VAR/Captain Al cross, this filly is the best mover of my year. She is a very athletic filly who walks extremely well.”
“She is a well-grown Legislate filly of high quality. The mare hasn’t produced much so far, but this is her first foal we’ve had here and Legislate, as the figures show, is King Of The Mountain!
“A Duke Of Marmalade filly out of Princess Chloe, a mare by Captain Al I believe will produce a top horse. I think she’ll be one of the best mares on the farm. The filly is all class and strong, a National Sale type.”
“A Master Of My fate filly from four-time winner Red Granite, her first foal. The mare herself was a R1,2-million yearling out of Si Senorita, who was Broodmare of the Year in 2014/15, the dam of Act Of War. It’s a top class pedigree. The filly is big and athletic for a first foal, I am very happy with her.”
“This is a Legislate filly out of Souk, a black-type mare who has already produced a few nice runners including Touch Of Grace. The filly is a quality, racy type, her dam is prolific and I think she’ll do well at the sale, she looks like a racehorse.”
“Here is the mare herself, Red Granite, in foal to Futura. I’ve been asked by her owner to put her on sale. She ticks all the blocks, as noted in Lot 46. I am sorry to be selling her, she’ll be an asset to any stud farm!”
“Red Granite’s most recent foal, he is a quality colt by One World. He is a correct specimen with a beautiful head.”
