A pair of Royal Mo’s from Stonehill
Heinrich Rix of Stonehill Stud provided his notes on the stud’s two entries at the 2023 Cape Premier Yearling Sale, powered by Tattersalls, to be conducted on Thursday.
Lot 27: Duchess Of Paloma, filly by Royal Mo ex Eyona by Black Minnaloushe:
“She is well related, from the Elusive Fort family, with a number of her siblings having done very well, including her half-brother Cat Daddy (three Listed wins), Elusive Model and others. She is a lovely specimen, walks very well and is well put together. She is very athletic and well-balanced. I expect her to do well at this sale.”
Lot 116: Count Huhtikuu, colt by Royal Mo ex Banking April by Bankable:
“He is out of a tough, multiple winning stakes-placed mare. This is only her third foal and he is strong, well put together with a nice shoulder and hindquarters. A good looker, I expect him to draw some attention on the sale. This family is closely related to White Mischief and Miss Mischief. The Uncle Mo nick has worked very well with the Machiavellian and Gone West lines which are most prevalent in Banking April’s pedigree and it will be most interesting to see what they do here.
